It is very important that you attend for your examination at the recommended intervals your dentist has suggested.

At your examination, all areas of your mouth as well as your teeth are fully examined. Sometimes we may need to take radiographs, which allows us to diagnose possible problems that may be starting but not yet showing any signs or symptoms.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING Examination?

At each check-up, your dentist should:

• examine your teeth, gums and mouth
• ask about your general health and any problems you’ve had with your teeth, mouth or gums since your last visit
• ask about, and give you advice on, your diet, smoking and alcohol use, and teeth-cleaning habits
• discuss a date for your next visit
